Here are some of my thoughts on this device I find it one of the best units on the market. I've been using it since about Mid March. One of the things I didn't really like was cutting the band to fit. I used the enclosed measuring guide.
What makes me nervous is that if you cut it too short then you have to send it back to Polar for a strap replacement. To avoid this I purposely cut it larger than it says too. Having said that it took me about 4 cuts to get it to fit right and then a few days later I cut it again to get it perfect.
I do find the Loop very light and comfortable enough to wear all day with no problems. Next thing that has to be done is load the Polar Flow software onto your computer. Currently there is no Android app available but it is supposed to be released at the end of April. There is an IOS app but for any of these apps to work with the Loop your device needs to be support the new low power Bluetooth standard. So I will only cover the computer aspect of syncing in regards to Mac OS X.
The loop uses a proprietary charging/sync cable.
What's really nice about this cable is that is similar to Macbook charging cable in that is magnetically held in place and therefore there is no connector to wear out.
Upon your first connection the app will most likely perform a firmware upgrade to the loop.
Next to see your data youu will be prompted to create a Polar Flow account. All new Polar products will be using this website and soon the Polar Personal Trainer site will most likely be discontinued. Once the product syncs you then need to access your Flow account.
